The Board of Trustees of The Charlton School recently honored one of it’s long term members with a dinner at the Turf Tavern.
Robert Spencer, a resident of Glenville and a retired GE Manager and Engineer, received the distinction of Honored Life Trustee of The Charlton School. Mr. Spencer is retiring after 15 years of service as a Trustee of The Charlton School.
Current Board President, Steven Caine, acknowledged Mr. Spencer’s outstanding service in a number of important areas of the School’s mission. Mr. Spencer has served as the Chair on several Board committees and served a three year term as Board President. Mr. Caine thanked Mr. Spencer for his many years of effort and support of the mission of The Charlton School. Present for the dinner were Mr. Spencer’s wife, Joan and two of his adult children, Gail Torkelson and Mike Spencer.
The Charlton School is a residential treatment center located in Charlton, NY and serves troubled adolescent females and their families.
