Youth Care Workers

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for supervision/safety of students in residential dorm setting
  • Teaching/modeling skills in relationship development, emotional regulation, social attunement, problem solving, effective daily living
  • Daily living structure/activities implementation

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hrs/week
  • Majority evening shifts
  • Rotating hours
  • Some evenings until 12 midnight. Every weekend required

Salary/Benefits:

  • $12.62/hr $26,249.60/yr
  • Medical/Dental insurance package. Cost shared between employer/employee

Criteria:

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • NYS Driver’s license required

Night Youth Care Worker

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for supervision/safety of students in residential dorm setting
  • Teaching/modeling skills in relationship development, emotional regulation, social attunement, problem solving, effective daily living
  • Morning routine structure
  • Housekeeping duties

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hrs/Week
  • 12mid-8:00am
  • Thursday thru Monday

Salary/Benefits:

  • $11.84/hr $24,627.00/yr   plus $.75/hour shift differential for hours worked overnight
  • Medical/Dental insurance package. Cost shared between employer/employee
  • 4 weeks paid vacation

Criteria:

  • Must have previous experience working overnight shift
  • Associates degree preferred
  • NYS Driver’s license required

Building Maintenance Worker

The Charlton School is looking for a Building Maintenance Worker to perform repairs and maintenance necessary to keep selected mechanical equipment, and/or the buildings and infrastructure of The Charlton School in full operation.

Duties Include:

  • Light HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, concrete work, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installation, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
  • Regular work assignments change to performing snow removal duties such as shoveling, snow blowing, etc.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday Days
  • Employees in this position are considered “essential personnel”, which requires them to report for duty during weather/other emergencies

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least two years experience in either general building maintenance or building trades work in two or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lifts, etc. as well as walk extensively across multiple areas of campus.
  • A valid NYS drivers’ license is required
