Youth Care Workers

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for supervision/safety of students in residential dorm setting
  • Teaching/modeling skills in relationship development, emotional regulation, social attunement, problem solving, effective daily living
  • Daily living structure/activities implementation

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hrs/week
  • Majority evening shifts
  • Rotating hours
  • Some evenings until 12 midnight. Every weekend required

Salary/Benefits:

  • $12.62/hr $26,249.60/yr
  • Medical/Dental insurance package. Cost shared between employer/employee

Criteria:

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • NYS Driver’s license required

Food Service Worker

Major Duties:

  • Food prep including cooking and baking
  • Lunch service and cleanup

Work Schedule:

  • 20 hrs/Week
  • 10 am to 2 pm weekdays
  • Ability to cover full time cook vacations

Salary/Benefits:

  • $12/hr

Criteria:

  • Experience working food service required
  • Previous work in a school setting prefered

8th Grade/Middle School Teacher

The Charlton School, NYSED approved private school for emotionally fragile adolescent young women is seeking Middle School level teacher. This position provides a supportive classroom environment which is is socially and emotionally safe for students with access to appropriate Middle School curriculums and remediation services for lagging skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Follows public school calendar
  • 12 month position including summer session

Criteria:

  • Applicant must hold or be eligible for NYSED teacher certification middle school level.
  • Special Education Teacher Certification and grade level teaching experience preferred.
